    Equipment

    Posted by Soundshifter - March 21st, 2008

A lot ofpeople have asked me about what kind of equipment I use. First off I'd like to say it's nt mine, it's my dad's. But I use it all the time. Sorry for hogging dad <3

Anyway I've always been on Mac (and don't take it personally, PC is very good for music as well, I just always had Mac) So I have a G4 PowerPC (2001) 1.5 Gigahertz, Dual Processesor, OSX 10.4 (Tiger)

The application I use is Digital Performer by Mark of the Unicorn

It is a full Digital studio, it isn't like Fruity Loops so don't get confused. You start from scratch with your empty tracks (mono or stereo) and your mixing board. You can also put instrument midi tracks, master fade tracks, aux tracks etc...

DP comes with it's own digital effects but I also managed to download a cracked version of Waves Plug-ins(which are fucking amazing)

I use a roland midi synthesizer. i dont use any of the sounds on it though. I use sounds from old Roland Midi Disks. The system is very old but still works. It is the S760(1990) which is the midi computer where you put the sounds on.

A use a Joemeek Preamp for mic and guitar

and i dont feel like writing anymore.. so i hope that helps if you're interested in these types of products
